1911 Coke & Mentos Explosions Set New Guinness World Record in Latvia

A new Guinness World Record was set June 19th 2008 in Latvia for the most simultaneous Coke and Mentos explosionss. The students at the Business University Turiba in Latvia celebrated their school’s 15th anniversary by setting off 1,911 Coke and Mentos geysers at the same time by dropping a Mentos candy into the bottles.

The Guinness World Record is official and was registered by the Adjudicator of the Guinness World Record book - beating out the previous record held by held by 1,499 Belgian students in the town of Leuven.
