5 out of 5 bitter idealists agree this is why indie bands (indie artists, entrepreneurs, thinkers etc) rock.
The video was shot March 19th at Olympia Hall in Paris, for music blog La Blogothèque and their Take-Away Show ( Concerts A Emporter in French,) which is a great blog for music fans by the way.
Because of the cold, original plans to sing outdoors were scrapped and The Arcade Fire sang “Neon Bible” in a freight elevator, and when the doors swung open, they walked right out into the middle of the crowd where they started the concert by singing “Wake Up.”
Take Away Shows is a video podcast series directed by Vincent Moon, where every week a new video is recorded live with a band in an unusual, urban environment. Some other recent shows include the artists The Shins, The Ruby Suns, The National, Au Revoir Simone, and many more.
The video is available for download in HD for the first week, then after it’s available as a podcast, in a 320×240 iPod version, or streamed from the web.
